[ARCHIVED] MDOT Wants to Hear from You

Mackinac Bridge in background with MDOT logo

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is looking for feedback on its five-year plan. To the right is a snapshot image of the plan as it pertains to us in Walker, showing some work along theComputer map of upcoming construction projects 131 corridor and a resurfacing of the existing Fruit Ridge overpass of I-96.

MDOT roads in Walker include I-96, a small portion of US-131, Lake Michigan Drive (M-45), Wilson Avenue (M-11) from Remembrance Road south, Remembrance Road (M-11) from Wilson west and Alpine Avenue (M-37) from Three Mile Road to the north. These are the state owned roads where MDOT is responsible for operations and maintenance.

If you have comments about MDOT’s proposed appropriation of transportation dollars you can share your thoughts with them via the comment portal at Michigan Transportation Program Portal. To comment once you're on that page, click on a project in the map shown on the right, scroll below the project description and click “Open.”

The comment period is open through August 31st.

Here are a few direct links to provide comments:
