Walker Podcast

The City of Walker is thrilled to launch its official podcast series in 2025! This new platform is part of the City’s ongoing effort to engage with residents and business owners. It provides an accessible and convenient way to stay informed about City news, events, and initiatives.

The podcast "Made in Walker" will air biweekly and feature interviews with decision-makers, updates on local projects, and spotlights on community stories. The podcasts are available wherever you download them. 

“As one of the first cities to implement live streaming of our commission meetings, we aimed for transparency with our community,” said Mayor Gary Carey, Jr. “We also embraced social media early on.  However, with social media continuing to mature and, at times, lose its effectiveness in sharing accurate, positive, and relevant news, podcasts are an additional way to connect all of us with the people, the stories, and the ideas shaping our community.”
